About NZ Adventures

Now you don't have to be an outdoors expert to get into the real Kiwi back country thanks to NZ Adventures range of 4WD Safaris and expert guiding.
NZ Adventures has been taken over by Alexandra based Robbie and Connie Crickett. Robbie and Connie are recently retired Dairy farmers from the Western Southland region but who originally came from the South Waikato area near Putaruru. In Alexandra they operate High Country Trail NZ and Hillview Park accommodation but Robbie especially has had a close association with NZ Adventures since its inception in the late 1990s.

Robbie and Connie are delighted to be taking over the business which John Nicholson founded and Malcolm and Nancye Langley have taken on to a high level of success and also a level of customer satisfaction and repeat attendance on tours that is the envy of many. While a big ask, both Robbie and Connie are committed to carrying NZ Adventures on along a similar path of improvement. An example of this is the addition of the new Eastern Explorer tour to the line-up for 2014.

However, any successful operation is the sum of all parts and NZ Adventures is no exception. To build up the largest network of off road access privileges in the country NZ Adventures has received the valuable co-operation of several enthusiasts and likeminded people without whom this huge task would have been impossible. NZ Adventures now has regular access through more than 65 High Country Stations, several plantation forests and extensive DOC managed Conservation estates in the Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury and Otago conservancies.

The 2013 / 14 season will see several new faces join the NZ Adventures team along with Malcolm and Nancye and Donald continuing to guide for some time to come. The entire team are passionate about the back country of our beautiful home. The guided Safaris are designed to deliver a genuine sustainable off road wilderness experience with first rate back up and safety as a priority. We believe that New Zealand is one of the finest places on earth to get away from the crowds and enjoy the feeling of dirt under your tyres. It is certainly one of the most accessible and we firmly believe that NZ Adventures offers the best 4WD experience available. Just ask our customers.

Your NZ Adventures team for the November 2012 to June 2013 Season

Till June 2013 Malcolm and Nancye will continue to operate NZ Adventures from their base at Kaiata near Greymouth.
However after June 2013 they will be handing over the reins to Robbie and Connie. Malcolm and Nancye will still be seen guiding some tours for Robbie and Connie for the next couple of years. After that they will move onto other things which include a year going around the Coast Road of Australia.

Robbie & Connie Crickett

Robbie & Connie having done some guiding in past years will be taking over all the running of NZ Adventures from June 2013. They recently retired to Alexandra from their dairy farming business at Otautau in Southland. Both were born in the South Waikato and have fallen in love with their adopted home in the south.
